Tips for Trekking 7 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 20
The difficulty of any trek depends on distance, hilliness of the terrain, and altitude. Most trekking trips, targeted at moderately active people, cover gentle terrain at low altitudes, and many have optional shorter routes.Altitudes above 14,000 feet or vertical gains of more than 2,000 feet per day demand excellent physical fitness. If in doubt, be conservative, especially when it comes to the dizziness and shortness of breath associated with high altitudes.
On regular terrains,Walking along the trail doesn’t require exceptional skill or conditioning, but it does require planning, the right equipment, and plain old common sense. And there the following tips could be quite useful.

1.Carry raincoat or windcheater with you.
2.Carry plastic bags in larger numbers.
3.Always carry a hunting or small army knife.
4.Fire should not be lighted unnecessarily.
5.For preventing insect bites, wear full pants and shirts.
6.Always try to leave some permanent mark on those places where one is likely to get lost.
7.Carry a Trekking Rope (about 50 meters long).
8.If you are going into the mountains, use a topographical map and a compass.
9.Carry right food, rich in carbohydrates.
10.Use cotton inner inside your sleeping bag. This is actually good for the sleeping bag as well as the skin also.

12.Study weather forecast carefully.Check the approximate temperatures you are going to face while on your trip.
